It seems that we know everything about Maironis. He feels fairly familiar to us, he is like a close relative. And yet… Do we know where he was born? Are we familiar with the poet’s home environment he grew up in? What is his creative legacy? This exhibition staged by Raseiniai Region History Museum and Maironis Lithuanian Literature Museum will let visitors virtually explore the home environment of the poet, his house in Kaunas, and relish the moments of remarkable events. Photographer Sigitas Gudaitis’ camera lens serves as the virtual eyes of the display, and museologist Loreta Kordušienė is the initiator of the exhibition.
